UNIONPORT, Bronx (WABC) -- A third alarm fire burned through an apartment building in the Unionport section of the Bronx Monday morning.
The fire broke out in the basement of the Olmstead Avenue building just before 5:45 a.m.
Flames quickly shot through the roof of the three story structure.
The building was vacant and no injuries were reported.
Firefighters had the fire contained by 7 a.m.
