JERSEY CITY (WABC) -- Three people are under arrest after a fatal shooting at a Jersey City deli, but police say the gunman is being sought.

Police responded to the Los Yoleros Mini Market on Sunday afternoon and found 23-year old Davonte Carswell dead of an apparent gunshot wound to his upper body.

The owner and co-owner of the deli and one employee were arrested for tampering with physical evidence and possession of gambling records after police say they found an alleged gambling operation inside the business.

Police believe the victim's body was moved inside the location by deli personnel.

Arrested were Gabino Tineo, age 44, of Jersey City; Isabel Dominguez, age 37, of Jersey City; and Marcelino Ramos, Jr., age 32, of Jersey City. Tineo and Dominguez are believed to be the deli owners. Ramos is believed to be a deli employee.

The three arrested are not believed to be involved with the actual shooting, police say.

No arrests have been made in connection with the actual homicide. A motive has not been identified.

This is the 18th murder in Jersey City this year.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office at 201-915-1345.
