CLIFTON PARK, NY (WABC) -- A 4-year-old boy is being called a hero after he saved his family and a neighbor from a fire.

It happened in the Upstate New York community of Clifton Park around 5 a.m. Saturday morning.

Police say Trystan Dezala woke up and could hear the smoke detectors going off in the apartment complex. He quickly started yelling, waking up his whole family. The family ran out of the building and called 911.

Fire crews arrived and rescued a neighbor who had fallen asleep while cooking.

Thanks to Trystan's quick actions, no one was seriously hurt.
