BAYONNE, New Jersey (WABC) -- A two-alarm brush fire broke out Sunday afternoon in Bayonne.

Flames started around 3 p.m. at E. 5th Street and Isabella Avenue. The location part of the International-Matex Tank Terminals (IMTT). Smoke could be seen for miles, as flames spread quickly due to dry conditions.

Bayonne Board of Education's school buses were very close to the Brush fire but did not get damaged. Firefighters were fighting the fire from IMTT's property, and the parking lot that houses the city's school buses.

FDNY also sent a fire boat across the river to help place flames under control. They plan to remain on the scene throughout Sunday night to monitor hot spots.
