Connecticut man killed on birthday by stray bullet fired into home

NEW HAVEN (WABC) -- Police in Connecticut say a New Haven man was killed, on his birthday, by a stray bullet that went into his home.

Officers found 58-year old Darryl McNair shot inside an office in his basement after getting reports of gunfire in the neighborhood.

McNair died at the hospital.

His family says just hours before, several friends were celebrating the victim's birthday at the home.

Authorities are searching for the shooter, but do not believe McNair was the intended ta
