Delivery driver caught throwing packages on camera

CHICAGO -- A delivery driver was caught on camera tossing wedding gifts at a Chicago home.

In the footage, you see her tossing the packages over the gate before going inside, picking them both up and tossing them towards the house. The couple was away from home when the packages arrived.

"It's like she didn't care about anything the entire two minutes she was on camera, or 30 seconds she's on camera, so she threw our packages, left, left the gate open, all of that," the homeowner said.

The gifts weren't damaged.

The couple told Eyewitness News the packages were delivered by FedEx, but FedEx claims the U.S. Postal Service delivered the package, saying in a statement, "It appears, according to the attached shipping tracking scan, that the package was delivered by the United States Postal Service." FedEx says it is looking into the incident and working with the customer to address any concerns.
