BROOKLYN, N.Y. (WABC) -- An 8-year-old girl was hit by a car and killed in Flatbush.

Jadann Williams, 8, was attempting to cross the intersection of East 22nd Street and Ditmas Avenue around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday when she was struck by a Toyota SUV.

Police said she stepped out from behind a double-parked delivery truck. An SUV, driven by 35-year-old Reginald Auguste, was going around the truck when it hit her and she suffered severe head trauma.

Some Good Samaritans tried to save her by performing CPR. She was rushed to Kings County Hospital where she later died.
