Fire tears through lumber yard in Mastic Beach, Long Island

MASTIC BEACH, Long Island (WABC) -- Firefighters in Suffolk County battled a fire at a lumber yard in Mastic Beach on Tuesday afternoon.

The flames broke out at 211 Mastic Road just before 4:30 p.m.

No one was injured.

The billows of smoke could be seen for several miles away.

Suffolk County Police Arson Squad detectives are investigating to determine the cause of the fire.
