RAHWAY (WABC) -- Funeral services were held Monday for a woman found murdered in her Rahway home, as police continue to search for the killer.

The body of 35-year old Yolando Vega was found Dec. 7th after search teams failed to find her.

Services were at 11 a.m. at the Lehrer- Gibilisco Funeral Home in Rahway.

Hours earlier, a family member apparently saw a gunman jump out of a closet and run from the home.

Authorities have not said how Vega died.

In another twist to the story, a neighbor apparently chased the suspect as he ran away.

However, police stopped the neighbor and the gunman disappeared.

Vega was born in Salina, Puerto Rico and lived in Newark and Irvington and settled in Rahway 11 years ago. She was an administrative assistant for Dick's Sporting Goods in Edison.

She is not the same Yolanda Vega who is seen on lottery drawings. There is now a $10,000 reward being offered in this killing.

A $10,000 reward is being offered in the case. Anyone with information is asked to call 908-654-TIPS.
