GREENWICH VILLAGE, Manhattan (WABC) -- Police have made an arrest in Friday's subway attack in Greenwich Village.

24-year-old Kimani Stephenson is facing attempted murder and sex abuse charges.

The victim, Bonnie Currie, was attacked while on the subway platform, then pushed onto the tracks.

Currie spoke exclusively with Eyewitness News about the incident at the 14th Street station.

Currie was by herself when she walked into the subway station. She admits, typically in the middle of the night she stays above ground, but this night, she went downstairs - and got attacked while she was on the platform.

"I was grabbed from behind. He wrapped both of his arms around me, and then pulled me into his body, and he put one hand on my boob, and the other hand in my crotch. He basically pushed me," she says.

She asked the man to get off of her - in less words, but she didn't have much time to react.

Currie had to be taken to the hospital where she needed surgery. Screws had to be put into her broken wrist, she has a torn ligament in her shoulder, and plenty of bruises.
