SUNNYSIDE, Queens (WABC) -- A suspect has been arrested after a man on a bicycle was killed in a hit-and-run in Queens early Saturday morning.
Around 3 a.m., a red 2002 Ford Escape was traveling south on 39th Street when it t-boned a bicyclist who was traveling east on 43rd Avenue.

According to the New York City Police Department, the bicyclist was thrown to the ground at 43rd Avenue and 39th Street, hitting his head. He was identified as Gelacio Reyes, 32, of Queens.
The driver did not remain at the scene, police said. Reyes was taken to Elmhurst Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police found the Ford Escape around 7 a.m. near Laurel Hill Boulevard and 58th Street in Woodside.
According to police, the driver of the vehicle is a 25-year-old man, who was taken into custody without incident.
Police bought him to a precinct in Forest Hills for a sobriety test and further questioning.
The investigation is ongoing.
