Shooting outside Paterson McDonald's leaves man dead

PATERSON, New Jersey (WABC) -- Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting outside of a McDonald's restaurant in Paterson early Tuesday.

The victim appears to have been shot in the parking lot of the McDonald's on Broadway just after 2 a.m.

A witness said he saw the victim running through the parking lot before collapsing on the sidewalk.

He was transported to St Joseph's Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

The victim has been identified as 33-year-old Terreck Hall.

Police have focused their attention on a gray minivan parked across the street that was riddled with bullet holes.

Investigators are also going from store to store, looking for surveillance video that may have captured what happened.
