SOMERS (WABC) -- A man suffering from dementia and Parkinson's disease who disappeared in Westchester County has been found dead.

Authorities say a worker found the body of 67-year-old Garry McKeon in Somers in a wooded area near Route 202.

McKeon was last seen a week ago at his home, also in Somers.

Police say there were no signs of foul play, and the cause of death is pending an autopsy.

His family had been working to get the word out on social media, using the hashtag #HelpFindGarry.

McKeon, a father of five, is believed to have wandered off on foot.

Authorities conducted an intense search, and family and friends went door to door in an effort to find him.
