Brooklyn carjacking suspect caught on video

BROOKLYN (WABC) -- Police have released another clue in the search for a suspect in a carjacking that ended in a seven-car pileup on a Brooklyn street.

The NYPD released new surveillance video that they hope will lead to an arrest.

The incident happened on March 30 around 10:30 p.m. at the intersection of Bedford Avenue and Fenimore Street.

Authorities say the suspect stole a 33-year-old woman's SUV at gunpoint while she stopped at a red light, then was involved in a an accident with six other vehicles at Bedford and Clarkson avenues in the Prospect Lefferts Gardens section three hours later.

Seven people were injured, two seriously.

Investigators say SUV hit a parked car, then struck three or four other vehicles before the driver fled the scene on foot.

Sources tell Eyewitness News there was alcohol in the abandoned vehicle.
