WOODLAWN (WABC) -- A New York City police officer is under arrest and has been suspended, after being accused of burglarizing a home in the Bronx, and attacking the woman inside.

Officer Eugene Donnelly was arraigned on charges of burglary, trespassing and harassment.

Police say in June, Donnelly broke into a home in Woodlawn while he was drunk, wearing only his underwear.

He then allegedly attacked a female resident and dragged her around the apartment.

Donnelly was arraigned and released on his own recognizance. He is due back in court on August 20th.
