AJ Ross has the details from Secaucus.

SECAUCUS (WABC) -- Authorities are on the scene of a parking garage collapse at a hotel in New Jersey.

Police say the 2-story structure collapsed at about 7:20 a.m. Saturday at 2 Harmon Plaza in Secaucus.

New York Giants rookie running back Andre Williams tweeted about the collapse:

Police say a piece of heavy equipment crashed through the upper parking level of the Empire Meadowlands Hotel by Clarion. The hole covers about eight parking spaces.

There was one minor injury.

Eyewitness News spoke with a man off-camera who was visiting from South Carolina. He says his rental SUV was totaled during the collapse, and now he has to work to get another car for the duration of the trip.

Engineers are there checking the integrity of the structure to make sure it is safe before allowing anyone inside.
