Police investigating death of 11-year-old girl in Brooklyn

EAST FLATBUSH, Brooklyn (WABC) -- Police are investigating the death of an 11-year-old girl in Brooklyn.

Authorities were called to a building Saturday morning around 9:30 on East 91st Street in East Flatbush, where the girl was found unresponsive.

The girl, whose name is Kanika Johnson, was later pronounced dead at Kings County Hospital.

Neighbors say the family recently moved into the home.

The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death. No arrests have been made.
