Springfield Gardens school bus crash leaves 10 people hurt

SPRINGFIELD GARDENS (WABC) -- Ten people suffered minor injuries when a school bus collided with another vehicle in Queens Monday morning.

The accident happened around 7:30 a.m. at 137th Avenue and 173rd Street in Springfield Gardens.

The Department of Education released a statement saying that the bus was making a left turn when it was struck by another car. The bus then crashed into a parked car.

There reportedly were eight children who attend various schools on the bus at the time. They were uninjured.

EMS treated the victims at the scene, and no one was transported to the hospital.
