RIDGEFIELD (WABC) -- A piece of a crane toppled in New Jersey Wednesday, taking wires and utility poles down with it.
The incident happened just before 3:30 p.m. at PSE&G Ridgefield electric substation on Hendricks Causeway, between Fulton Place and Church Street.
Officials say a large piece of equipment called a pile driver fell over while performing construction work at the site.
The crane fell over onto the road, pulling down the wires and poles in the process.
One pole landed on top of a car, but no injuries were reported.
In Ridgefield, 260 customers are currently without service.
There cause of the accident is under investigation.
The utility expects to have customers' service restored within the next couple of hours.
