MONROE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (WABC) -- A tractor-trailer hit a minivan overnight causing the truck to jackknife and burst into flames.
Around 3:30 a.m. Saturday, the minivan was traveling slowly in the right lane of the New Jersey Turnpike when the tractor-trailer rear-ended it.
The Fed Ex truck jackknifed and caught fire, but the driver of the truck was not injured. The driver of the minivan suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to Robert Woods Johnson Medical Center for treatment.
The wreck occurred in Monroe Township, N.J., at mile marker 76.5 near exit 8A, and traffic was diverted to the inner roadway.
The road was reopened by 8 a.m.
