LONGMONT, Colo. -- Police have arrested 34-year-old Dynel Catrece Lane in the stabbing of a pregnant woman who lost her baby. The victim was responding Wednesday to a Craigslist ad to buy clothes, police said.

The stabbing took place in the suspect's home, police said, where Lane's two children live. It is unknown whether they were home at the time of the attack.

Lane cut the baby out of the victim's womb. The 26-year-old victim was 7 months pregnant at the time of the attack. She underwent surgery and is expected to survive.

The suspect later showed up at a hospital with her husband and the dead unborn baby claiming she had a miscarriage, police said.

ABC affiliate 7NEWS reports that a woman of the same name is registered on a pregnancy website and lists a due date in November 2014. Longmont Police spokesman Jeff Satur said that Lane's husband believes she had a miscarriage.

Lane held a nursing aide license from 2010 to 2012, 7NEWS reports.

Lane was arrested on suspicion of three felonies: attempted 1st degree murder, 1st degree assault and child abuse knowingly/recklessly resulting in death. She is due in court Thursday afternoon.
