UPPER EAST SIDE (WABC) -- Police in Manhattan say they have identified the suspect who sexually assaulted a woman on the Upper East Side.

Police say they are looking for 32-year-old Gregory Anderson. He's 5'7" tall and weighs 145 lbs.

It happened around 5 a.m. Saturday morning as the victim was walking along East 94th Street.

Police say Anderson walked up and grabbed her from behind and threw her to the ground just after she crossed 2nd Avenue.

The suspect then forced the 36-year-old woman to walk further down the block where he stole $40 from her and sexually assaulted her.

She ran away from him and into a nearby store where Anderson was allegedly unable to find her.

Police released a photo of the suspect from a 2014 arrest for drinking in public.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
