Tim Fleischer reports on the countdown to a deadline for immigrants protected under the DACA program

As the countdown to a possible government shutdown continues, the deadline for DACA is also looming.

Now, local dreamers and activists are gearing up for a "Day of Action."

The immigrants' rights group "Make the Road New York" loaded protesters onto buses Thursday morning, headed to Washington, DC.

They are calling for a clean DREAM Act to be included in the budget, one without funding for President Donald Trump's proposed border wall.

They will join protests that were already underway on Wednesday. At least 82 people were arrested during those protests.

"Most people who are undocumented are living in fear constantly, one decision comes out today, one decision comes out tomorrow," organizer Mateo Guerrero said. "There are different things happening every day, and we cannot let our community members live under that fear every day."

Meanwhile, some members of the New York City Council were positioned outside subway stations Thursday, handing out information and educating people about immigration reform.
