- 1971 - Given control over his father's real estate company.
- 1983 - Opens Trump Tower in midtown Manhattan.
- 1987 - Publishes "Trump: The Art of The Deal."
- 2004 - The Apprentice premieres on television.
- 2009 - Changes his party registration from Democrat to Republican.
- 2015 - Announces his intent to run for president.
- July 19, 2016 - Officially nominated by the Republican Party.
- Nov. 8, 2016 - Elected president of the United States.
