Lawmakers from Tri-State area spreading conversation about gun control

On Monday night at 5:30, the U.S. Senate is expected to vote on two versions of two controversial bills. One bill would prevent suspected terrorists from purchasing guns. The other would call for a universal background check on gun customers.

After the 49 lives lost in Orlando, there are loud calls for stricter gun controls, but passing legislation in Washington has been another challenge for lawmakers all together.
