Though the NFL normally cracks down on players wearing custom footwear, this week will be an exception.

As part of the #MyCauseMyCleats social campaign, hundreds of players will don personalized cleats supporting charity foundations of their choice, including New York Jets wide receiver Brandon Marshall.

Marshall's pair of cleats features a Matrix theme with the hashtag #mindovermatter as a nod to his charity, Project375, a foundation for mental health advocacy that Marshall co-founded after announcing his battle with borderline personality disorder.

As he explained on Instagram, "the letters are the Codes to Mental Health statistics that's going [to] free our world from the stigma that handcuffs us from helping those suffering":

While several teammates will be wearing Marshall's cleats in support of the wideout, others have their own designs and causes, including kicker Nick Folk:

This is the first year of the #MyCauseMyCleats campaign, but with so many players embracing the opportunity, it wouldn't be a surprise to see it become an annual staple.
