Brooklyn Little League team hopes to raise enough money to compete
Lucy Yang has the story

BROOKLYN (WABC) -- The Bonnie Robbins from Brooklyn are not just any neighborhood 12 U baseball team - they are world champions. They just won the National Amateur Baseball Federation in July.

Now they are training for the ultimate tournament of World Series champions next month in Branson, Missouri, where they will compete against five other World Series champions, like a Little League team from Chicago.

The Bonnie Robbins have the confidence and skills to compete on a national level, but what they don't have are the funds. They have now set up a GoFundMe page to raise $25,000 for a team bus, hotel and food. So far, they have raised only $1,700. The tournament starts in two weeks, but if they don't get enough donations, they will not be able to go.
