TEMPE, Ariz. - Arizona Cardinals coach Bruce Arians couldn't say with 100 percent certainty on Friday that quarterback Carson Palmer will be healthy enough to play against the New York Jets on Monday Night Football on Oct. 17, but he seemed fairly optimistic.

"I can't say for sure," Arians said. "But he looked good in there lifting weights."

Palmer was working out at the Cardinals' practice facility on Friday morning, a day after he missed Arizona's 33-21 win over the San Francisco 49ers because of a concussion he suffered Sunday in the loss to the Los Angeles Rams.

Arians said Palmer is "hopefully in the last stages of the protocol." Palmer had not been cleared to travel to the Bay Area when the team left Wednesday.

Arians also announced that inside linebacker Kevin Minter has entered the beginning stages of the NFL's concussion protocol after suffering a "very mild" concussion.

Minter "should be fine," Arians said.
