Former No. 1 overall pick Anthony Bennett's next stop is Turkey after his release earlier this week by the Brooklyn Nets, according to league sources.

Sources told ESPN.com that Bennett is finalizing a deal with Turkish club power Fenerbahce, which would give him an opportunity to play in the Euroleague this season.

Bennett was drafted No. 1 overall out of UNLV by Cleveland in 2014. He was traded to Minnesota after his rookie season along with 2014 No. 1 overall pick Andrew Wiggins in the Kevin Love deal and joined the Nets over the summer after spending the bulk of the 2015-16 season with the Toronto Raptors in his native Canada.

Bennett played in 23 games this season with Brooklyn, averaging 5.0 points and 3.4 rebounds in 11.5 minutes per game. The Nets replaced him on the roster by signing veteran big man Quincy Acy to a 10-day deal.
