TAMPA, Fla. -- The circus coming to town has caused a minor league baseball game to be postponed.

Friday night's Florida State League Class A game between Clearwater and Tampa at Steinbrenner Field was called because of flashing lights on a tall circus tent near the stadium behind the right-center and center-field wall.

The decision to postpone the game was made after umpires and officials from both teams reviewed the matter.

Tampa is aNew York Yankees' minor league team that plays in the major league team's spring training complex.

The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader Saturday.
