The top 20 picks of the NFL's 2018 draft are largely accounted for now that the regular season is complete.

The New York Giants clinched the No. 2 spot on Sunday, a week after the Cleveland Browns secured the top position. Both teams could be in search of franchise quarterbacks -- an annual task for the Browns, but a rare one for the Giants and their new general manager, Dave Gettleman.

Giants starter Eli Manning was benched for one game this season and turns 37 this week.

The Giants entered the weekend needing a loss to the Washington Redskins, or a victory by the Indianapolis Colts over the Houston Texans, to clinch No. 2.

As it turned out, the Colts did the Giants a favor by defeating the Texans 22-13. The Giants defeated the Redskins 18-10 shortly thereafter.

With the Texans' loss, the Browns have locked up the No. 1 and No. 4 picks in the draft. The Colts will pick No. 3.

"There weren't a lot of positives today, except we also secured the No. 4 draft pick," Browns owner Jimmy Haslam said after the team lost 28-24 to thePittsburgh Steelersto finish 0-16. "So we're excited to see what [new general manager John Dorsey] can do with the draft picks we've accumulated as well as what we can do in free agency.

"We've got a long way to go, a lot of work to do, and we're anxious to get after it."

Meanwhile, the Denver Broncos are at No. 5, the New York Jets at No. 6 and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at No. 7. The NFL breaks ties in draft order using reverse order of strength of schedule and, if identical, a coin flip. That's what will happen to determine whether theSan Francisco 49ersor Oakland Raidersare No. 9.
