The New York Giants re-signed guard John Jerry and cornerbackChykie Brown on Monday.
Terms were not disclosed, but sources told ESPN.com's Dan Graziano thatJerry's contract is a two-year deal worth $3.3 million with $1 million guaranteed, and Brown's pact is for two years and $2 million.
Jerry earned a good measure of negative fame for his role as one of the bullies in the 2013 Miami Dolphins Richie Incognito/Jonathan Martin bullying scandal. But he was not suspended for his role, which was outlined in ugly detail in the Ted Wells report on that incident, and the Giants signed him last offseason to be a reserve offensive lineman.
Due to the injury to Geoff Schwartz and the retirement of Chris Snee, however, Jerry became more than a reserve. He started all 16 games at right guard in 2014 for the Giants, who considered him a good citizen and a better-than-expected player, especially in pass protection.
Jerry turns 29 in June. He was the Dolphins' third-round pick out of Ole Miss in 2010.
Brown, who was claimed off waivers by the Giants from the Baltimore Ravens last November, played in eight games for the team last season, including four starts at right cornerback as he helped to fill the void created whenPrince Amukamara was lost for the season with a torn biceps.
