NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Tennessee Titans starting quarterback Jake Locker will miss the rest of Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns after suffering an injury to his throwing hand.

Locker had his right hand and thumb wrapped as he stood on the sideline at the start of the second half. He left the game after hitting the hand on Cleveland cornerback Buster Skrine.

Locker missed last week's game at Indianapolis with a right wrist injury suffered the week before in Cincinnati.

Earlier Sunday, he took a big shot after running for a touchdown, but passed concussion tests and returned.

Charlie Whitehurst has replaced him against Cleveland. Rookie Zach Mettenberger, the Titans' third-string quarterback, is inactive.
