A woman has sued New York Knicks forward Kyle O'Quinn and another woman for an alleged assault, according to a media report.
The New York Daily News reported Sunday that Shakaira Elaine Elie has filed suit against O'Quinn and his female friend over an incident that occurred in May outside a New York restaurant.
Elie is suing the restaurant for failing to have proper security as well as O'Quinn and his friend for the pain and suffering she suffered from the assault, the newspaper reported.
A spokesman for O'Quinn's agency denied the allegations.
"The allegations are completely false, and Kyle looks forward to clearing his name through the legal process." ASM spokesman Daniel Rohme said.
The Knicks said they are aware of the matter but have no comment at this time.
O'Quinn, a 2012 second-round pick, was acquired via sign-and-trade by the Knicks last summer. He is entering the second season of a four-year, $16 million contract.
