Manchester City's owners have announced plans to expand their global footprint by investing in five-a-side businesses in North America.
The City Football Group have formed a new partnership with Goals Soccer Centres to create and run top-quality playing and training facilities across the United States and Canada.
CFG already has a presence in the States in the form of Major League Soccer side New York City FC. As well as New York and Manchester, CFG also has clubs in Australia (Melbourne City), Uruguay (Club Atletico Torque) and Japan (Yokohama F. Marinos).
CFG chief executive Ferran Soriano said: "The best way for people to fall in love with soccer is by participating. There are a very large number of soccer players in the U.S. and Canada, of all ages, and facilities, like the ones we have and will build, will help tremendously.
"At CFG we will bring our expertise from the professional game to help Americans play and improve at the sport they love."
