NEW YORK -- Jose Reyes has been put on the 10-day disabled list by the New York Metsbecause of a sore left ribcage.

Fellow infielder Wilmer Flores remains out of the lineup Thursday night against the Yankees because of a similar injury. Flores planned to work out before the game, and the team decided not to put him on the DL. But manager Terry Collins says Flores probably won't be available off the bench.

Both players sat out Wednesday night as well.

New York recalled infielders Matt Reynolds and Gavin Cecchini from Triple-A Las Vegas. Reynolds started at third base and batted eighth at Citi Field as the Mets tried to prevent a four-game sweep by the Yankees in the Subway Series.

Right-hander Kevin McGowan was optioned to Las Vegas.
