The New York Red Bulls beat Olimpia 2-0 on Thursday night in rainy Harrison, New Jersey, to advance 3-1 on aggregate in the CONCACAF Champions League.

The hosts -- even at 1-1 on aggregate after the first leg -- fashioned numerous chances in the first half, but failed to find the back of the net as the teams went to the dressing room to dry off level at 0-0.

But just 10 minutes into the second half, the Red Bulls took the lead when Bradley Wright-Phillips finished a hard, driving run by beating Olimpia goalkeeper Donis Escober with a low line drive at the near post.

Sean Davis then doubled New York's lead 10 minutes later, picking up a Tyler Adams pass, cutting to his left and firing a shot that took a wicked deflection off the Olimpia defense to make it 2-0.

The Red Bulls -- deserved winners on the night -- will face Tijuana in the quarterfinals, with the first leg on March 6.
