NEW YORK -- New York Rangers defenseman Kevin Klein is out for Friday's Game 5 against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Rangers coach Alain Vigneault revealed the veteran blueliner's status following the team's morning skate on Friday. Asked whether Klein, who suffered a broken arm on March 11, suffered a setback, Vigneault said:
"The bone is taking longer to heal."
Klein skated with the rest of the Rangers' scratches Friday morning and would remain a possibility for Game 6 if the series goes that far. The Rangers, entering Friday's action with a 3-1 series lead, have a chance to close things out against the Penguins in Game 5 at Madison Square Garden.
