Sims scores 27 points, Shock top Liberty 81-76

NEW YORK -- Odyssey Sims had 27 points and seven assists to help the Tulsa Shock beat the New York Liberty 81-76 on Saturday night.



Sims made 15 of 16 free throws. Riquna Williams had 15 points, and Karima Christmas added 11.



Brittany Boyd led Eastern Conference-leading New York (16-7) with 22 points, and Tina Charles added 13 points and eight rebounds.



The Shock (11-14) used an 11-2 run at the start of the second half -- including a 3-pointer by Christmas -to open a 20-point lead. The Liberty chipped away at the lead and got within five with 1:08 left, but Candice Wiggins missed a long jumper and then fouled Sims, who made two free throws with 26 seconds. Wiggins was fouled with 15 seconds left on a 3-point attempt, but missed all three free throws.



Tulsa jumped out to a 10-2 lead and lead 46-35 at the break.
