CLEVELAND -- The Indians have placed left-hander T.J. House on the 15-day disabled list with a sore throwing shoulder.

House is 0-4 with a 13.15 ERA in four starts and pitched three innings or fewer in three of those appearances. He didn't allow a hit through three innings against Toronto on Thursday but then didn't retire a batter in the fourth as the first five hitters reached base and scored in a 5-1 loss.

House has allowed 19 runs and 21 hits while issuing 12 walks in 13 innings. He was 5-3 with a 3.35 ERA in 19 games last season.

Outfielder Tyler Holt was recalled from Triple-A Columbus, where he was hitting .328. He batted .268 in 36 games with the Indians last season.
