Sources: Hope Solo likely to rejoin USWNT

Goalkeeper Hope Solo, after serving a 30-day suspension, is expected to be officially reinstated to the U.S. women's national team on Saturday, sources told ESPN.com on Thursday.

Solo was suspended after her husband, Jerramy Stevens, was pulled over for DUI on Jan. 21 while driving the team van. Solo was a passenger in the vehicle.

Sources told ESPN that Solo has abided by the conditions laid out for her by U.S. Soccer, but she must still meet with coach Jill Ellis and other officials for the final step in the reinstatement process.

If reinstated, the 33-year-old Solo will depart for Portugal on Sunday for the Algarve Cup, where the U.S. opens play against Norway on March 4.

The Algarve Cup is one of the final big tuneups for the U.S. team as it gears up for the World Cup in June.

The sources declined to specify what conditions had to be met by Solo, who had domestic abuse charges dropped against her shortly before her suspension.

With Solo out of the lineup, Team USA had backup goalie Ashlyn Harris in net during a 2-0 loss to France on Feb. 8 and a 1-0 win over England five days later.

In the 2011 World Cup, Solo won the Golden Glove award, handed out to the best goalie of the tournament.
