Black History Month has come and gone, but for Tina Charles, it's more than just a month.

The special edition sneakers that the New York Liberty star will wear Thursday night reflects as much.

"It's not just a month, it's a movement" is written on the inside of the shoe's tongue, while "Living with Love" is inscribed across the bottom.

Looking forward to lacing up these exclusive Nike Zoom Rev #BHM edition shoes tonight. Inspired by myself and @moneymone33 . Thank you @nike for taking our vision and detailing the importance of equality on and off the court! To have a #BHM shoe inspired by our lives and play is a blessing. #TGBTG

According to Charles' Instagram post, the black and gold kicks were inspired by herself and Minnesota Lynx player Seimone Augustus. Both Charles and Augustus were among the WNBA's most visible stars who spoke out in the wake of shootings involving police last summer.

Charles' Liberty host Augustus' Minnesota Lynx at Madison Square Garden on Thursday night. The game will air on ESPN2.
