Cleveland Cavaliers forward Kevin Love may be out for the next few weeks, but the NBA All-Star Game must go on.
With Love now on the sideline for this weekend's All-Star Game -- andexpected to miss six weeks following surgery on his left knee Tuesday, according to ESPN's Dave McMenamin-- someone must replace him in the Eastern Conference lineup.
Who should it be? Kristaps Porzingis has a case to make. What about Hassan Whiteside? The 27-year-old leads the NBA in rebounds per game (14.1). You can't forget about Detroit Pistons center Andre Drummond either.
Who's your pick?
While Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid is certainly a candidate to replace Love, the 22-year-old rookie has a "very minor meniscal tear" in his left knee and hasn't played since Jan. 27
Sixers general manager Bryan Colangelo told reporters last Saturday that Embiid is unlikely to play in the Rising Stars Challenge this weekend, but nothing has been officially confirmed yet.
NBA All-Star Weekend is Feb. 17-19.
