Gleyber Torres hasn't made it to the majors yet, but the New York Yankees prospect can already call himself an MVP and batting champion.
At 19, Torres became the youngest MVP in the history of the Arizona Fall League behind a league-best .403 batting average that was 50 points better than his closest competitor. Torres also led the league in on-base percentage (.513) and OPS (1.158).
"Before I came here, I prepared myself very well," said Torres, who spent the 2016 season in Class A. "I always prepare."
Acquired by the Yankees this season in the trade that sent reliever Aroldis Chapman to the Chicago Cubs, the Venezuelan infielder is expected to advance to Double-A for the 2017 season.
