1 dead when tractor-trailer overturns on southbound New Jersey Turnpike in Secaucus

SECAUCUS, N.J. (WABC) -- A tractor-trailer overturned on the southbound New Jersey Turnpike in Secaucus, killing the driver.

The tractor-trailer careened off the road, hit a tree and flipped, blocking the Interchange 17E ramp to Route 3 and the Lincoln Tunnel just after 6:30 a.m.

It has taken hours to remove the tractor-trailer. The driver's body was trapped in the wreckage. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
