TRENTON (WABC) -- New Jersey is getting some help on the road to recovery after Superstorm Sandy, and it should be a big help to anyone who waited in line to buy gas during the power outage.

The state will receive $2.5 million in federal funding, meant to help keep gas stations up and running during emergencies.

That money will go toward dozens of portable generators that will be in place at stations in case of a mass power outage.
