NYPD traffic agent struck by car in Midtown hit-and-run
Josh Einiger has the latest details.

MIDTOWN, Manhattan (WABC) -- An NYPD traffic agent was struck by a car that fled the scene Thursday in Midtown Manhattan.

The accident happened at 4:15 p.m. on East 37th Street between Park and Lexington Avenues in the Murray Hill section.

Police are looking for the vehicle involved, a black Lincoln town car with a large bumper sticker with a FedEx logo on it.

The traffic agent was taken to Bellevue Hospital with minor injuries and is said to be fine.

Police have good cell phone video of the accident from an eyewitness.

Police aren't sure if this was an accident, or if the agent was targeted for some reason. That is under investigation.
