Ridgewood train station cleared
The Ridgewood train station is back to normal after a suspicious package turned out to be a pair of shoes.

RIDGEWOOD, New Jersey (WABC) -- Ridgewood Police have cleared the Ridgewood train station after a suspicious package was found.

The item turned out to be an unattended pair of shoes.

New Jersey Transit Main/Bergen and Port Jervis line trains were suspended, but service resumed around 10:30 a.m.

Trains were delayed up to 60 minutes in both directions. NJT bus and private carries were still accepting rail tickets and passes.

The station was evacuated while police investigated.
