NEW YORK (WABC) -- For the 14th year in a row, people rode the New York City subway Sunday missing one key thing: their pants.

It is the day set aside for the annual No Pants Subway Ride.

Organized by the group Improv Everywhere, participants get on the subway, and take off their pants.

It started as a small prank between a group of friends in New York City, and has grown to include thousands of pranksters around the world.

Events were held in cities around the U.S. and as far away as Australia.
