On Wednesday, an attack by Hezbollah in Northern Israel injured 14 Israeli soldiers and four others.

Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said his country would be the one to decide whether and how to respond to Iran's major air assault last weekend, without saying when or how, leaving the region bracing for further escalation after months of unrest linked to the ongoing war in Gaza.

In New York City, Columbia University is under the spotlight. A group of student protesters were camped out on the school's main lawn. They pledge to stay there until the university divests from companies with ties to Israel.

Meanwhile, in Washington, D.C., Columbia's president got grilled on Capitol Hill, fielding accusations from Republicans who see the Manhattan campus as a hotbed of bias.

Boeing whistleblower testifies on Capitol Hill

A Boeing whistle-blower testified on Capitol Hill on Wednesday, revealing serious allegations about the safety of certain Boeing models.

The engineer testified that the aircraft company, in rushing to produce as many planes as possible, took manufacturing shortcuts that could lead to jetliners breaking apart.

The company has been under multiple investigations and in crisis mode since a door-plug panel blew off a 737 Max jetliner during an Alaska Airlines flight in January.

Arizona abortion ban

When Arizona's Supreme Court ruled that a near-total abortion ban from the late 1800's could stand in that state, Republican lawmakers gaveled out early to delay any action by Democrats.

Arizona's House lawmakers returned to session Wednesday, fighting to repeal that law.
